This is the upcoming generation of Wi-Fi technology. While some Wi-Fi 7 routers may have been released in 2023, widespread adoption and availability of the standard in its finalized form is expected to be around May 2024. To fully utilize it’s capabilities, your equipment will need to support Wi-Fi 7 but it will still work with predecessor standards, albeit not to it’s fullest potential.

Benefits will be faster data transfers, more stable connections and increased security: These improvements will be great for businesses but even in private homes, more and more devices rely on a powerful wireless network — not only mobile ones like smartphones and notebooks, but also PCs and peripherals as well as devices for smart homes, TVs, and audio systems.
